Content management

Intuitive page builder

We enabled Chord's team to streamline the content management process by having the possibility of creating pages without the involvement of designers or developers, whilst maintaining design consistency and fast page speed.

With our setup, we make it in a way that on the left we have the sitemap that can also be navigated with search, and on the right, the Live Preview is always open, enabling content marketers to always see how the site would look like as they edit content and arrange the layout.

To create pages, they pick from a list of custom designed modules tailored to the brand, and they can rearrange them like blocks on top of each other. Users can create as many pages as they want.

Once they are satisfied with the outcome, they can simply press the Publish button, and the page will go live in a matter of seconds.

Reusable content

To save time and streamline the content creation process, the CMS allows for the reuse of certain content blocks that are shared across all pages, such as the header and footer.

For content blocks that may not be reused across all pages, such as team members or tags, they can still be easily added directly from a page without the need to create them from scratch every time.

This approach ensures that content managers can efficiently create and manage website content, without unnecessary duplication of effort.

Reusable content in Sanity

Media management

Content managers can organize, filter, tag, and order their images and videos, streamlining the process of finding and selecting the right media for each page.

These capabilities help content managers to work more efficiently and ensure that the website's media is well-organized and easily accessible.

Media management with Sanity

Had a great experience with Tinloof — they diagnosed exactly the issues we were having with our site, demonstrated the specific expertise required to address them, then did exactly what they promised, on time and on budget. I am thankful we found them.

SEO capabilities

SEO capabilities

Our CMS not only automates most technical SEO requirements, but it also gives content marketers complete control over on-site elements.

This allows for a more efficient and effective content management process, as content marketers can focus on creating high-quality content while the CMS takes care of the technical SEO details.

Automatic sitemap generation

We dynamically create a sitemap that updates whenever a page is added or deleted.

This automated process ensures that the latest version is always picked up by Google Search Console, saving valuable time for content managers who no longer need to manually update the sitemap.

Structured data

Structured data enhances search results and produces more engaging rich results for search engines like Google. According to the latter, it leads to increased traffic and better engagement.

At Chord, we have implemented various types of structured data such as FAQ, Article, and Logo.

This is automated, saving content managers time from having to add it manually.

Indexability and canonical URLs

Content managers have complete control over whether a page should be indexed or not, and they can also select the canonical URL.

This level of control ensures that your website's content is indexed correctly and eliminates any potential duplicate content issues.

Title, meta description and alt text

Content managers have the ability to edit the title and meta description of each page, and leverage the built-in word counters to help stay within the recommended length.

Additionally, alt text can be added to each image, ensuring that they are accessible to all users, including those with visual impairments.

Content managers can add redirects without requiring the assistance of developers.

This streamlines the process of redirecting pages and eliminates the need for technical knowledge, allowing content managers to efficiently manage the website's redirects on their own.

Technical setup

Thanks to the decoupled frontend and backend architecture, we have the flexibility to integrate with any API that is available and documented.

This allows us to seamlessly integrate third-party services and tools, as we did with Chord by integrating Zendesk's chatbot widget and Ortto's newsletter service.

This architecture empowers us to deliver highly-customized solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients, while maintaining the stability and security of the website.
